Commanding Performance

Performance Psychology Workbook Series

Elevate Your Game with Hands-On Mental Conditioning

Just as you can't build muscle by merely reading about workouts, you can't develop mental toughness by only reading about mental skills—you need to put in the work. The Commanding Performance Workbook is your guide to doing just that.

Unlike other mental performance books, Commanding Performance offers a distinctive approach by not only teaching you essential and advanced mental skills but also providing the practical drills to strengthen them. It’s like having your own sport psychologist right there with you during practice, guiding you through each mental conditioning exercise and offering Pro Tips along the way.

This comprehensive workbook series takes you step-by-step through the four key components of mental conditioning that I use with athletes, performers, and teams. Each section wraps up with a Scrimmage, where you’ll test how well you’ve absorbed and applied what you've learned.

The series culminates in the Commanding Performance Tournament, where you'll face real-life scenarios that occur before, during, and after competitions. These tournaments challenge you to choose and apply the right mental skills, ensuring that you’ve truly mastered the techniques needed to enhance your performance.

Take the challenge, do the work, and see your mental game—and your overall performance—reach new heights.

The Warm Up

Next, you'll complete the Warm Up. This is where you'll answer questions to see how well you already know this skill or complete practice exercises to kick-start your thinking abilities.

Time to Train

Now it's Time to Train! This is the section where you'll practice what you just learned through a series of drills and exercises. It's important to do all of the drills so you can assess your skill level and know what areas you need to work on.

The Cool Down

Each lesson will end with a Cool Down. This is a valuable time where you'll briefly reflect on how the training went for you. Answer the questions as honestly as you can, giving more than one or two word answers!
